Animated characters in modern times seem to all share similar facial features. Somewhat childlike, the characters have large eyes and rounded faces, often paired with strangely proportioned bodies. Although the general consensus is that characters are like this to radiate innocence, many people have concerns about the body image implications these warped characters might have on young viewers.
